Our story begins in the cigar-making town of Bünde and goes back to the mid-1970s. Having started out as a pure trading company, we steadily developed into specialists in high-quality slide bearing products in order to have a say in times of constant change.
The decisive turning point was marked by the founding of Lohmann GmbH & Co. KG by Joachim Fliß-Stockmann in 2005. His vision of a model company in the market also led to a strategic expansion of the product range to include drive technology such as roller bearings and couplings, which have significantly strengthened and expanded our product portfolio.
Lohmann has always stood for flexibility, commitment, just-in-time delivery and the highest quality standards. Our customers thank us with top ratings and consistently positive feedback. To meet these demands, we have been continuously investing in modern machinery since 2008, thereby creating the basis for sustainable growth. Our focus is on the production of plain bearings made of non-ferrous metals, which has established us as a ‘specialist in special plain bearings’.
