A few years ago, we were able to help a customer with a new design for a worn bearing.
Now we have been approached by him again.
For a special application new half-shell bushings should be installed to replace the old plain bearings.
The particular challenge here was in fact that there was no technical documentation for the bearing at all.
Due to this constellation, we first took measurements of the worn bearing and then created the drawings.
This was done in close cooperation with the customer’s repair department. Within 10 days the customer was able to install the new half-shell bushing.
