Our trainee project – customer acquisition

“Learning by doing” still is the best way to learn and gain experience.
We learn a lot here, both in theory and in practice. The colleagues extremely nice and patiently introduce us to all areas. After a short time, we are already working quite independently within the team. However, what many of us young people are struggling with at the beginning is actively approaching customers and potential buyers.
Lohmann has now launched a great trainee project on this topic.
We visited the EuroBlech trade fair in with our technical manager, Mr Kuhlenbeck. This gave us a good overview of the technology, products and companies.
After the fair, we evaluated all the information and created a list of potential customers. The next step was to find out the relevant contact person and to contact them by phone to introduce our company. If there was interest, we then sent further information such as our company brochure or detailed contact information by email.
Finally, we presented our analysis and experiences to the sales team.
We realized that there are different approaches to potential customers and also got to know the hurdles of customer acquisition.
The calls have made us more self-confident, and we were able gain experience that will help us in our daily business.
